Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

This review is from: Panasonic TC 50PS14 - 49. 9" VIERA plasma TV - widescreen - 1080p (FullHD) - HDTV (Electronics)

I bought this tv about a month ago and what a great tv. The picture is great, sound is good for me because I don't need surround sound. Movies are awesome. The only draw back about the plasma is during the brightest part of the day you can see the reflection of the blinds in the background of the tv. Other than that I think anyone will love what they get for the price.

This review is from: Panasonic TC 50PS14 - 49. 9" VIERA plasma TV - widescreen - 1080p (FullHD) - HDTV (Electronics)

Recently picked up a 50S14 from Best Buy, at the time I was under the impression it was the same as a S1 but with a VGA input (no speaker input though so what's the point of the VGA?). This apparently was not the case as this S14 is actually a slight downgrade from the S1. Panasonic specs claim the 50S14 does not have the Neo Panel and the accompanying extra 1,000 or so shades of degradation and does not have a Game Mode (which is supposed to brighten up the screen and eliminate any lag- lag is not an issue to begin with and you can probably brighten up the screen yourself). The other difference which may be a big deal for some is that the 50S14 claims to only have 900 or more lines of moving resolution while the S1 and better models are capable of the full 1080 lines of moving resolution. This may not be a big deal as most people probably couldn't tell the difference anyways. In all, the specs on this tv would have made it pretty darn spiffy back in '08 but by 2010 standards it's getting obsolete. If you are willing to spend a little more locally or take the chance of ordering a tv online you can definitely get a better set for a similar or lesser price. If I would have known all this at the time I probably would have just settled on a 42S1 for the Neo panel, 1080 lines of moving resolution and game mode but I do really love having a 50" set from a local store with a very good return policy. As for gaming, plasma beats LCD any day of the week. I have owned a few LCD's lately (all were returned) ranging from the ho-hum 60hz 8ms to 120hz 6ms and both had about a half second lag that I never even noticed until I gamed on the plasma with 600hz . 0001 ms. It was like night and day. I swear the plasma knows what button I'm going to hit before I hit it, it is that responsive (perhaps LCD with lower ms would help here). I have not seen any motion blur or pixelation with the plasma, things I commonly saw on both the 60 and 120hz LCDs (again, LCd with lower ms would help here for the pixelation). My main gripe about all plasmas in general is that they are much dimmer than any LCD (apparently LCDs are unnaturally bright, but for sports I think this gives it a superior picture quality, I love those crips, white uniforms and an overly sharp image) In all, I do love my new plasma even if its not the best thing out there. If you can find a deal on one of these S14's I recommend it but make sure to shop around a little bit first, many places are dealing on their 2009 plasma models right now since the 2010 models are coming out.

My previous review titled "well worth it" should be updated but my E-mail has changed. This is in fact a great television. When I noticed a slight curve when viewing widescreen movies and I asked a service technition to take a look he noticed the problem after testing it with his equipment. He corrected a slight convergance problem with red that made the picture REALLY SHARP but said that the shadow mask had been damaged during shipping probobly because of bouncing, and that it would not be economic to fix it. The problem was very small but I am very serious when it comes to quality. Now I am trading it back in and upgrading to the 47 inch Panasonic high definition projector tv because it is easier to take care of. When I got this television it had a corner sticking out the hole in the box. My advice is that if you can get one in good condition than by all means do so but be carefull where you buy it because its very sensitive equipment.

I am now 5 weeks without my HDTV. Had a few minor glitches early on but they never amounted to much, then about 4 months after purchase the screen began to pop from its normal square display to an oval shape then pop back out. Also had issues of display being almost all red, blue or green. PS2 hooked up with component was great, except that the screen went a bright neon green square a few times to days before it died. The final night it displayed all the above and when it was powered off then back on it went click, click, pop. I have spent the last 5 weeks with we'll need to pick it up and bring it to the shop, parts on order, well that part came in but now we need this part, we needed to get approval from Panasonic to order this part, still waiting. Called Panasonic wondering if they could help they were helpful, said they would call repair shop to see what the holdup was would call me back Monday, on Wednesday still no call, I call back, they NEVER called repair shop. OverallTV 4 stars, PS2 on TV 5 stars, panasonic service 0 stars, getting this unit repaired 0 stars. My last Panasonic purchase!

This review is from: Panasonic TC 32LX14 - 31. 5" VIERA LCD TV - widescreen - 720p - HDTV (Electronics)

The Panasonic TC-32LX14 seems to be equivalent to the Panasonic VIERA X1 Series TC-L32X1 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV1, the only difference being that the TC-L323X1 includes an iPod dock. The TC-L32X1 is selling at a big box discounter store for $349 as I write this. That would make the TC-L32X1 a better value than the TC-32LX14 that I am reviewing here. I paid $398 for the TC-32XL14 at the same big box discounter that I've already mentioned and will be returning this for the better value TC-L32X1. Confused yet? I hope not but I did call Panasonic to verify that the sets are the same with the exception of the iPod dock included with the TC-L32X1. I spent the better part of two days comparing LCD sets, both 720p and 1080p. The distance from the flatscreen to the sitting area is only 6-7' so I choose a 32" LCD as the size I wanted to focus on. However I also looked at a couple 37" and 40" flatscreens, 720p and 1080p. After looking and looking, comparing, taking notes, doing research online, reading reviews here on Amazon and elsewhere, I decided on getting the Panasonic TC-32LX14. The quality of the picture just cannot be beat, especially considering the price (and don't forget, the price is even better on t he TC-L32X1 plus that one includes the iPod dock). Compared to a 40" 1080p Toshiba Toshiba 40RV525R 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV that was selling for $578 at BJ's, the Panasonic blew it out of the water with picture quality even though it was "only" 720p. I also like that the Panasonic had 3 HDMI connections, plus an SD card slot for viewing photos. I put about 75 photos taken from my Canon SD600 elph and was amazed at the quality of the photos displayed on the flatscreen. Just beautiful. I will agree with other reviewers that the sound is probably the weakest aspect of this TV. But it's not a deal breaker. . . . for me anyway. I wish it were a bit better, with some improved bass and maybe a little more oomph to the sound, but you can't get everything in a TV this inexpensive. When you consider the picture quality, other features of the set and then add in the sound quality, this is still a terrific bargain in my opinion. The remote control worked well, the menu system is easy to navigate. Some of the features may not be immediately, or ever, something you would use, such as the Viera Link, which only works with compatible components. But all in all, this is one heck of a LCD TV. . . excellent picture quality, decent price and a brand name that you can have some trust in. Compared to the second and third tier LCD TV makers like Vizio, I feel this is a far better value and offers much better overall quality. Pros:-Excellent picture quality considering the price-Good build quality-AttractiveCons:-Sound is a little weak and lacks any real bass or punch. So to reiterate, you should consider getting the Panasonic VIERA X1 Series TC-L32X1 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV because it is the same set as this one but with the addition of an iPod dock and in my case, it was $50 less. I am just thrilled with my purchase and am thinking of getting another one (the TC-L32X1 that is) for the bedroom.

This review is from: Panasonic TC 32LX14 - 31. 5" VIERA LCD TV - widescreen - 720p - HDTV (Electronics)

I have 2 larger plasmas and this is my first LCD Flat Panel. The Panasonic TC-32LX14 has all the connections you could need for watching movies & TV, playing games or viewing photos in a great looking, lightweight package. I bought this one to replace a CRT in the bedroom. I would have liked to go bigger (due to a 10-11 ft viewing distance), but for the price this was too good to pass on ($399 at Costco and others). And in actuality this 32-inch works just fine for a bedroom TV. Plus it's lightweight and easy to hang on the wall. One of my other flat panels is also a Panasonic and the form and function is very similar. The Menus are easy to navigate and the Tuner works great for picking up cable broadcasts (although the channel numbering system is unfamiliar). The remote is clean, simple and easy to use. The picture is great with gaming systems and the cable TV picture straight from the jack is good in standard and great in digital. Some mentioned the sound being an issue. I can attest that it's not up to concert hall sound, but it's definitely loud enough. And if you have a surround sound system then you're golden. Panasonic makes great and reliable products so if you're looking for a a great value in flat panels definitely check this one out.

Plus it’s lightweight and easy to hang on the wall. I can attest that it’s not up to concert hall sound, but it’s definitely loud enough. And if you have a surround sound system then you’re golden. Panasonic makes great and reliable products so if you’re looking for a a great value in flat panels definitely check this one out.

        Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

This review is from: HDTV Plasma/LCD Tilting Wall Mount Bracket for 32" -58" Sony Bravia, Panasonic, Samsung, Sharp, Vizio, Westinghouse, Hitachi, Mitsubishi

Got this for my Sony Bravia. This bracket is good quality and easy to work with. Only problem was I coudn't use any of the hardware that came with it. The wall I was installing it on was unusual so I won't get into that. However, I also had to scronge around for some screws to fit the back of the TV because the ones it came with were either too long or short. That being said I think it's fine and would've given it 5 stars but not everyone likes to improvise.

        This review is from: ProScan 32LB30Q 32" LCD HDTV - 720p, 1366x768, 1200:1, 5ms, 2x HDMI, Black (Electronics)

I bought my Proscan 32 inch LCD TV off of Costco for $320. 00It was the best deal I could find. I'm new at owning a TV, so this is a good starter. I've hooked up my PS3, Wii, and receiver to this TV, and it looks beautiful (I have not used the built-in speakers because I'm running all the sound through my home-theater system. This is the only complaint I've heard from other customers on Costo's website (buzzing in the internal speakers), but I cannot confirm this. ). For me, the only downside is there is one burned out pixel. This is pretty much a given these days though, that at least one pixel will be burned out in an LCD screen. (I'm not too picky, especially for $320!). )Great manufacturer ("Proscan")--I've never heard of them before. I think they're trying to get the word out about their product so they can get a foot in the market. (like Vizio did when they first started. . . first they were the cheapest, now they're well-known so they can afford to be as expensive as the top-brands). Quick note: If you're going to buy any HDMI cables, DO NOT go to Bestbuy, Target, etc (and get suckered into forking over +$50). Buy them on Amazon. com for under $2. 00 They work perfectly fine. I've bought all my electronics off of Amazon. Hope this helps shed some light on Proscan! I have never heard of them before this deal, so there's my two cents.
